Where the original Geordie Shore cast are now – from arrests to money struggles

We don’t know about you, but we still get nostalgic over the original cast members of Geordie Shore.

While later series brought us memorable faces such as Scott Timlin, Chloe Ferry, and Nathan Henry, the first bunch were certainly all characters to remember.

Whether it was the friendships between the hunky lads, close sisterhood between the Geordie girls, or the raucous partying from the whole casts, there was always something to enjoy when the show blasted onto our screens in 2011 on MTV.

However, now the show is facing its tenth anniversary, we have to wonder just what became of all of the cast members.

Here is where the Geordie Shore cast are now.

Charlotte Crosby
Sunderland-born Charlotte Crosby swiftly became a fan favourite on Geordie Shore and brought that popularity with her when she participated in and won the 2013 series CelebrityBig Brother.

Charlotte departed Geordie Shore after 12 series of the show in June 2016 and the end of her romance with co-star Gaz Beadle.

In 2017 she became the host of new show Just Tattoo Of Us on MTV, which she presented with then-boyfriend Stephen Bear followed by Geordie Shore alum Scotty T in 2018 and then guest presenters since.

She has also fronted her own reality series The Charlotte Show, which initially co-starred her former boyfriend, Love Island alum Joshua Ritchie.

Charlotte is now busy making over her Houghton-le Spring home and living with her boyfriend Liam Beaumont.

Gaz Beadle
Resident ladies’ man Gaz was a regular on Geordie Shore from the beginning until its 15th run, departing in 2017 to be a father.

He is the partner of Emma McVey and has two children: Chester and Primrose Beadle.

During his time on Geordie Shore he also appeared on the series Ex on the Beach, whilst also starring in MTV series Spring Break With Grandad.

He returned for the special series Geordie OGs in 2019.

Gaz said last year of his relationship with Emma: “She’s just so down to earth. Even now, I’ll say, ‘Let’s go to M&S’ and she just says ‘No let’s just go to Asda’.

“It’s nice to have someone like that because on the other hand you could have someone who’s really pretentious and materialistic and she’s not, she’s just so dedicated to them kids.”

Greg Lake
Greg Lake was the only original cast member to appear in a single series of Geordie Shore, so what did he do next?

After ditching the show following its special episode Magaluf Madness, Greg kept a relatively low profile apart from appearances on Irish reality series Celebrity Salon.

Greg dated Hollyoaks star Jennifer Metcalfe for eight years and they share a son together, Daye.

However, Jennifer confirmed on social media in August last year that the couple had split.

She posted a note which read: “Greg and I decided to part ways amicably a couple months ago. We remain friends and we both will continue to happily co parent Daye and would appreciate privacy during these times.”

Holly Hagan
One of Geordie Shore’s longest-serving cast members, Holly Hagan may have been slow to warm up in the house but swiftly became a favourite with fans.

After appearing on the show and having romances with James Tindale, Scott Timlin and Kyle Christie, Holly departed the show in 2016.

However, Holly returned in 2018 and appeared in three series until departing once more in 2019.

She did decide to return, however, for spin-off series Geordie OGs.

Outside of the series, Holly also appeared in Car Crash Couples alongside Kyle Christie and in the 2018 series Five Star Hotel.

Holly has been in a relationship with footballer Jacob Blyth since 2017 and they are now engaged.

She now acts as an ambassador for anti-bullying charity Ditch The Label.

Holly also recently addressed financial difficulties the stars faced in the show’s early years.

She claimed: “We were very naive to begin with, working for FREE for three seasons, quitting stable jobs and having no income for a long time. We’re 10 years into the job now we know our worth and what we’re capable of.”

When a fan quizzed her how she got by without money, the curvy beauty shared: “We didn’t. I had to borrow money from my mam that she didn’t have.

“Then, we all had to have a sit down with MTV to tell them how much we were struggling (only some of us though as the popular cast mates were earning from club appearances etc). They then decided to pay us a small fee to help us get by.”

James Tindale
Another of the original hunks on the show, James had some heated encounters with male castmates but also found romance with Holly.

However, he eventually became known for his relationship with Kate Thorne outside the house.

James later left the show after ten series in 2015 but soon returned in 2016.

He made a more lasting comeback when he came back in 2019 and has remained in the series since.

James is now single and has his own clothing line God’s Gift and gym named Gym Unique.

Jay Gardner
Gaz’s best friend Jay appeared in the first three series of Geordie Shore and was close to cast member Vicky Pattison.

However, he departed the show in 2012 to be with then-girlfriend Chloe, but returned for two series in 2013 before quitting once more.

Jay returned, however, for the fan-pleasing Big Birthday Battle in 2016.

He previously owned Sunderland nightspot Attico/Verve in 2015 with fellow Geordie star Ricci Guarnaccio and also fake tanning line Jay’s Tan.

Jay can still be seen on social media looking as ripped as ever.

Sophie Kasaei
A close friend of Charlotte and Holly, Sophie starred in seven series of the show before an abrupt departure.

After leaving the show, Sophie was a party planner for Geordie Tours and had clothing lines Off The Rails boutique and House of SHB.

Along with Jay, Sophie returned for the Birthday Battle in 2016 and later became a full-time cast member again in 2019.

Vicky Pattison
Another of Geordie Shore’s biggest success stories, outspoken Vicky appeared in nine series of the show until her departure in 2014.

Vicky admitted in 2019 that she had been arrested after getting into a fight with other women in a nightclub during a candid conversation about her life experiences.

Vicky had subsequent appearances in 2014 and 2015 on Ex on the Beach, and also had her own show Judge Geordie in 2015.

In December 2015, Vicky was crowned Queen of the Jungle on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!

After this, Vicky became a regular panelist on Loose Women, had presenting gigs on This Morning and I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp.

She has also guest starred on the like of Celebrity Hunted, Celebrity Masterchef and Celebrity Coach Trip.

Last year she appeared as a segment presenter on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

Vicky is now in a relationship with Essex businessman Ercan Ramadan.
